English see below - Ich gebe zum 1.7. mein schönes WG-Zimmer in Sachsenhausen ab. Es ist ca. 15 qm groß und durch die großen Fenster sehr hell. Das Zimmer befindet sich im hinteren Teil der Wohnung und du teilst dir das eine der zwei Bäder, in dem die Waschmaschine steht. Ich werde die meisten Möbel mitnehmen und nur den Schreibtisch, kleinen Tisch, die 2 Wandregale, Lampe und Gardinen hier lassen.
Wohnung:
Das Highlight der Wohnung ist die große Dachterasse mit bestem Skyline-Blick! Dort ist Platz für Palettenmöbel, Hängematte, Insta-Schaukel, Gasgrill, Esstisch und Fitnessgeräte. Die Wohnung liegt im 8. Stock (Aufzug bis in 7.) und man hat auf beiden Seiten einen tollen Blick über Frankfurt. Während die Dachterasse die Südseite der Wohnung bildet, gehen alle Zimmer und ein Balkon Richtung Norden (Main, Innenstadt) raus. Es gibt 2 Bäder, von denen das hintere ein Tageslichtbad mit Waschmaschine ist. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und jeder hat ein eigenes Schrank- und Kühlschrankfach, um seine Sachen zu verstauen. Direkt an die Küche grenzt das Esszimmer mit Sofa und Zugang zum Balkon.
Kosten:
Im Mietpreis von 547€ sind Strom, Heizung, Internet, GEZ und ein Puffer für größere Anschaffungen schon miteinberechnet. Weitere Kosten, die für die Reinigungskraft und allgemeine WG-Einkäufe wie z.B. Klopapier und Putzmittel anfallen, rechnen wir über Splitwise ab.
Der Abschlag setzt sich so zusammen:
- 1000€ für alle WG-Anschaffungen (Küchengeräte, Trockner, Grill, Möbel, etc.)
- 250€ für den Boden im Zimmer
- 50€ für Möbel, die im Zimmer bleiben (Schreibtisch, kleiner Tisch, Wandregale, Lampe, Gardinen)
Die Lage der WG ist top. Man ist in ein paar Minuten am Main und in der Innenstadt. Direkt vor der Haustür gibt es einige Imbissbuden und Spätis. Eine Apotheke, Aldi, Rewe und dm sind nur ein paar Laufminuten entfernt. Das Brückenviertel, Restaurants, Cafés und Apfelweinkneipen sind auch direkt gegenüber.
Um die Ecke befindet sich das Partyviertel Altsachs. Davon bekommen wir im 8. Stock allerdings recht wenig mit. Durch die Höhe der Wohnung hat man auch keine Nachbarn, die einem ins Zimmer schauen können.
Es gibt eine Bushaltestelle, die nur 100m von der Haustür entfernt ist und wo alle 5-10 Minuten ein Bus Richtung Konstablerwache fährt. Die Konsti und auch der Südbahnhof sind zu Fuß in 10-15 Minuten zu erreichen. Die nächste S-Bahn Haltestelle ist der Lokalbahnhof (5 mins entfernt) und in die U-Bahn steigt man am besten am Schweizer Platz oder Dom/Römer zu (10- 15 mins).
Wir wohnen erst seit ein paar Monaten in dieser Konstellation zusammen, aber abendliche Gespräche in der Küche oder nun öfter auf der Dachterasse sind schon der Regelfall geworden. Wir sind keine Zweck-WG, sondern kochen auch gerne mal zusammen, schauen Serien oder feiern Geburtstage. Das WG-Leben ist gechillt und jede Person hat ihren eigenen Space, aber alle sind immer herzlich, offen und für einen Plausch oder auch Aktivitäten zu haben.
In der WG wohnen:
Juli (26) ist Trainee bei einer Bank, aufstrebende Köchin und macht gerne Sport, egal ob Joggen oder Workouts
Christoph (24) arbeitet bei einer Rating Agentur, interessiert sich für und weiß viel über Wirtschaft, Politik und Geschichte
Darius (26) arbeitet als IT-Berater, geht gerne ins Gym und auf Konzerte und hört viel Musik
Einen Putzplan gibt es nicht, da wir eine Reinigungskraft haben, die alle 1-2 Wochen die Gemeinschaftsbereiche putzt. Dennoch achten wir alle darauf, dass es sauber bleibt und räumen hinter uns auf.

I'm giving up my nice room in a shared flat in Sachsenhausen on July 1. It is about 15 square meters in size and very bright thanks to the large windows. The room is at the back of the apartment and you share one of the two bathrooms, where the washing machine is. I will take most of the furniture with me and only leave the desk, small table, the 2 wall shelves, lamp and curtains here.
Apartment:
The highlight of the apartment is the large roof terrace with the best skyline view! There is space for pallet furniture, hammock, Insta swing, gas barbecue, dining table and fitness equipment. The apartment is on the 8th floor (elevator to the 7th) and you have a great view over Frankfurt on both sides. While the roof terrace forms the south side of the apartment, all rooms and a balcony face north (Main, city center). There are 2 bathrooms, of which the rear one is a daylight bathroom with washing machine. The kitchen is very well equipped and everyone has their own cupboard and fridge compartment to store their belongings. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining room with sofa and access to the balcony.
Costs:
The rent of € 547 includes electricity, heating, internet, GEZ and a buffer for larger purchases. Other costs incurred for the cleaner and general shared flat purchases, such as toilet paper and cleaning materials, are billed via Splitwise.
The advance payment is made up as follows:
- 1000€ for all shared flat purchases (kitchen appliances, dryer, grill, furniture, etc.)
- 250€ for the floor in the room
- 50€ for furniture that remains in the room (desk, small table, wall shelves, lamp, curtains)
Location:
The location of the shared flat is great. You can be on the Main and in the city center in a few minutes. There are several snack bars and Spätis right on the doorstep. A pharmacy, Aldi, Rewe and dm are just a few minutes' walk away. The Brückenviertel, restaurants, cafés and cider pubs are also directly opposite.
Around the corner is the Altsachs party district. However, on the 8th floor we don't notice much of this. Due to the height of the apartment, you don't have any neighbors looking into your room.
There is a bus stop just 100m from the front door, with a bus to Konstablerwache every 5-10 minutes. The Konsti and also the Südbahnhof can be reached on foot in 10-15 minutes. The nearest S-Bahn stop is Lokalbahnhof (5 mins away) and the best place to get on the U-Bahn is Schweizer Platz or Dom/Römer (10-15 mins).
Life in the shared apartment:
We've only been living together in this constellation for a few months, but evening chats in the kitchen or now more often on the roof terrace have already become the norm. We're not a functional flat share, but also like to cook together, watch series or celebrate birthdays. Life in the shared flat is chilled out and each person has their own space, but everyone is always welcoming, open and available for a chat or activities.
Your roomies:
Juli (26) is a trainee at a bank, an aspiring chef and enjoys sports, whether it's jogging or workouts
Christoph (24) works at a rating agency, is interested in and knows a lot about economics, politics and history
Darius (26) works as an IT consultant, likes going to the gym and concerts and listens to a lot of music
There is no cleaning schedule as we have a cleaner who cleans the communal areas every 1-2 weeks. Nevertheless, we all make sure it stays clean and tidy up after ourselves.
